As an independent firm, we benefit from the best research sources in the business.

Services for Individuals

We begin each relationship by developing a thorough understanding of our client’s goals, return objectives and risk tolerance. Then we work with the client to customize an asset allocation and investment strategy. We summarize this plan in a policy statement that serves as a guiding document, updated as needed.

Our time-tested, consistent process positions client investments for both long-term growth and preservation of wealth. We offer customizable portfolios using individual securities utilizing various strategies.

We manage the Equity Income Strategy for individuals and organizations that want the potential for growth and inflation protection historically provided by common stocks, while recognizing that a focus on dividend consistency and growth has, over the long-term, provided nearly half of total stock market returns. Quality – dividend paying stocks when used in a diversified portfolio have return characteristics similar to the overall market – with less volatility. For those investors looking for the added return potential of an allocation to global equities, we can include a disciplined, quantitative process that provides exposure to multiple world markets.

Retirement Plan One-on-one Counseling We meet with participants on an ongoing basis to help them understand their long-term needs—a critical aspect of their success—and to offer support in both selecting appropriate investments and determining contribution levels. This direct support to participants also helps trustees to better fulfill fiduciary obligations.

Trustee Support We monitor and report all aspects of the 401(k)/403(b) plan on a regular basis which includes, but is not limited to, investment manager (fund) performance, TPA/Record-keeper oversight, custody oversight and participant allocation.

Co-fiduciary Status Medallion offers true 401(k) co-fiduciary relationships, serving in a 3(21) capacity. Most qualified plan fiduciaries—plan trustees—receive little or no formal training. Our professionals hold, or are in training to hold, the AIF and AIFA (accredited investment fiduciary analyst) designations. This requires extensive training and other prerequisites, including a combination of a bachelor’s, master’s and/or doctorate or JD degree; two to five years of industry experience; and two years of auditing experience.

Investment Fiduciary Consulting Services In addition to co-fiduciary status, we also offer oversight services to help plan administrators and trustees to meet their responsibility to plan participants—and to reduce the liability associated with a breach in fiduciary oversight.

Our services include evaluating current fiduciary practices, recommending actions that address risk areas and helping to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal statutes and regulations.
